Mike Brent gets Title Shot !
On the next Plymouth show at the Guildhall 19th Sept.
Mike Brent will rematch current Southern Area champion Dean Alexander over 5 rounds for the vacant IKF amateur English title.
These two previously met last year for the Southern area title . Which Alexander won on a split decision in Poole in Dorset.
At the time Mike got an early shot at the title after clocking up 3 straight wins at the beginning of his career. Due to other fighters unavailability, Mike and the Taurus team took a chance against the at the time, 7.0.1 record Alexander. Which almost paid off.
Both fighters have gone on to remain unbeaten in their subsequent fights. In Mike's case 2 more wins and a draw.
Bringing them to rank 4th and 3rd in the IKF rankings. And a second meeting for the more prestigious English title.
The Mike Brent for this one though is a year more experienced,stronger and better ...expect a WAR !
